Smart Energy Lab has a demonstrated track record of successfully implementing complex use cases and delivering flexible solutions in three key strategic areas: Electric Mobility, Electrification, and Energy Management.

By promoting synergies between industry and non-industrial associates, together with our team and other stakeholders, we maximize impact and scale creating economic and social value.
 
Smart Energy LAB’s associates are EDP Comercial, Accenture, Instituto Superior Técnico, Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, University of Coimbra, INESC TEC and INESC ID.
 
SEL is successfully focusing on its own products and services, having an important spillover effect in the Portuguese economy.

Smart Energy Lab board of directors is composed by members from the academic and industry associates, members from EDP Comercial and Accenture, and two academic associates that rotate periodically.
 
Their collective knowledge, market experience and research expertise create a powerful formula to steer and enhance the management of Smart Energy Lab.

Scientific Committee

Another key instrument for the success of Smart Energy Lab is its scientific committee.

Comprised of experts from all associated academic and research institutions, the committee plays a vital role in shaping SEL's progress. Through their collective expertise, they not only advance research within SEL but also facilitate the transfer of knowledge, fostering innovation and collaboration among the associates.

The five members of the scientific council represent FCUL, IST, INESC ID, INESC TEC, and the University of Coimbra. Their unique perspectives and complementary experience significantly enhance the Colab's capacity to drive cutting-edge research and achieve its goals.
